DSX SDK

The Matrox DSX Software Development Kit (SDK) is the software interface for building broadcast application software on top of Matrox DSX LE5, LE6, and X.mio5 hardware cards. It provides APIs for video I/O management, real-time compositing, effects processing, and ancillary data extraction and insertion, enabling OEM developers to build production-grade broadcast tools without implementing low-level hardware drivers. The SDK supports both hardware-accelerated execution on Matrox DSX cards and virtualised software deployments for cloud-based broadcast workflows.

Supported development environments include Windows and Linux operating systems, with the SDK providing consistent APIs across both hardware and software deployment paths. OEM application types built on the DSX SDK include multiviewers, vision mixers, character generators, signal processors, and IP gateway applications. The DSX SDK is available exclusively to broadcast OEM manufacturers and application developers, not to end-user broadcast operators deploying finished products.
