The Matrox Mura IPX Series combines physical video capture inputs — DisplayPort, Mini HDMI, or 12G-SDI — with on-board H.264 encoding and IP stream decoding on a single PCIe card, reducing the hardware footprint of video wall control room systems. Ten models spanning fan-cooled and fanless variants provide flexible combinations of input type, encoding capability, and cooling method. Decode capacity on all models reaches four simultaneous 4K streams or sixteen 1080p HD streams, sufficient for large multi-source control room installations.

The Mura IPX E-series cards add H.264 encoding output alongside decoding, enabling the same card to simultaneously ingest physical SDI or HDMI sources and distribute encoded IP streams to downstream systems. D-series (decode-only) cards focus entirely on IP stream decode for installations where encoding is handled elsewhere in the network. All Mura IPX cards install in standard PCIe slots and are compatible with Matrox video wall software for source routing, scaling, and display arrangement across connected panels.

DP, HDMI, and SDI Physical Inputs

Three input format families — DisplayPort, Mini HDMI, and 12G-SDI — cover the full range of professional video wall source connections without requiring separate capture cards per interface type.

On-Board H.264 Encoding

E-series models encode captured physical inputs to H.264 IP streams on-card, enabling simultaneous local capture and network distribution from the same PCIe slot.

Four 4K or Sixteen 1080p Decode

All Mura IPX variants decode up to four simultaneous 4K IP streams or sixteen 1080p30 streams, handling high-density multi-source displays in a single card.

Fan and Fanless Variants Available

Each input and encode/decode configuration is offered in both active fan-cooled and passive fanless versions, allowing selection of the appropriate cooling method for the operating environment.
