NRG Redundant Power Supply

The Matrox NRG is a half-rack 1U redundant power supply unit designed to provide shared, fault-tolerant power to up to five Matrox compact appliances from a single 1U rack position. Two hot-swappable 300W power modules operate in a 1+1 redundant configuration, with automatic failover to the remaining module if one module fails or is removed for replacement. The shared power approach consolidates power distribution for Monarch EDGE, ConvertIP, Extio N3, and other supported compact Matrox appliances into a single managed unit.

Remote power monitoring is provided via HTTPS web interface and GPIO connectivity, enabling operators to check module status and set alerts without physical access to the rack. Hot-swap capability allows a failed module to be replaced during live operation without powering down the connected appliances, maintaining service continuity in 24/7 broadcast and AV environments. The NRG is appropriate for rack installations where multiple compact Matrox appliances are deployed and power redundancy is a facility requirement.
